Insurance

I am in network with most Aetna healthcare plans in NC. I am considered an out-of-network provider for all other health insurance plans. I can provide a Superbill for you to give to your insurance provider, if your plan allows, for out-of-network coverage. Please note that if you want to use insurance, that insurance requires a diagnosis in order for services to be considered medically necessary. Couples therapy is not a covered service that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. I currently accept cash and credit cards, and cards from your Flex Plan or HSA (if your plan allows).

Cancellation Policy

I require a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel appointments. If I am not notified within 48 hours of the time of your session, you will be charged the full fee for your missed session.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
